Cooperation with Helsinki University and the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) is part of the project which includes field work for the gathering of own data as well as analyses of already existing large datasets.

Looking for Scholarships be eligible for a PhD-student position, the applicant must hold a University degree in natural sciences, engineering or comparable with a focus on aquatic biogeochemistry/aquatic ecology/limnology/water and environmental engineering or other relevant subjects. In ranking eligible candidates, special importance will be given to scientific skills in relation to the subject area specified. Special weight will be given to earlier experience in statistics/modelling as well as GIS since large databases need to be handled. In addition, experience with field work is meriting.
